TAMPA, Fla. — NewSouth Window Solutions, part of the PGT Innovations (NYSE: PGTI) family of brands, recently announced its $50,000 sponsorship of International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) driver Grant West.
West, a 23-year-old Georgia native who attended The University of North Georgia, won rookie of the year in his first season of competitive racing. This year will be his first full year of competitive racing in the Professional Mazda MX-5 Cup series.
“Grant came to us with such passion and excitement to not only find a sponsor, but a partnership,” said Earl Rahn, president of NewSouth Window Solutions. “After meeting him and hearing about the races, we were hooked. We are truly honored to support a young, talented individual go after their dream, and we can’t wait to see the NewSouth logo fly across the finish line!”
The Tampa-based window manufacturer and installer will sponsor West for all of his races throughout 2023. The IMSA schedule includes nationally broadcast races throughout the United States.

For someone who has always dreamed of being a race car driver but did not know where to start, having their support is a dream come true.”
Race fans can see West and the NewSouth racecar at the following events this weekend:
- Indycar Party in the Park Fan Festival Fan Fair at North Straub Park
- Thursday, March 2 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
- Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg for qualifying races and practice
- Friday, March 3 from 7:50 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.
- Main event will take place on Saturday, March 4 at 7:55 a.m. for Race No.1 and 4:45 p.m. for Race No. 2.
On Saturday, March 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., West will be at the NewSouth Tampa facility, located at 10741 Crossroads Commerce Blvd., for a public open house. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet West, as well as receive an autograph, and NewSouth will be offering 40 percent off all windows and doors during this one-day sale.
