Introducing Logan Fitzgerald, one of our Manufacturing Engineering Interns here at PGT Innovations. Logan plans to graduate this December with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. When applying to jobs, the most important thing to him is a company culture that values its employees, customers, and the world. His dream career would be working for a company that allows him to tackle meaningful projects among a group of great people.

Logan is currently working on designing a cart for Vinyl Stiles, but his main project has been working on the WinDoor and Tampa move, handling the Eze Breeze and Cabana Door lines. When asked what his favorite part of PGT Innovations is, Logan replied, “The dynamic set of challenges I face challenge me in ways that school has never done. The help and support I receive from my mentors and fellow interns is also a big factor.” He also talked about his advice to other interns which is, “Don’t be afraid to ask ‘stupid questions, it’s better than making stupid mistakes. Overall, the biggest lesson Logan has learned from PGT Innovations is no matter how much you think you know, there is always more to learn.

Other Fun Facts About Logan:

  • Born: Clearwater, FL
  • If you could be any superhero, who would you be? Wolverine
  • Cats or Dogs: Dogs
  • Fun Fact: I love backpacking and have been on multiple multiday trips, some of them by myself.
